Mary Edna Huskey Brooks, age 78

Mary Edna Huskey Brooks, age 78 of Cliffside, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015.

She was born March 7, 1937 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Coell and Ella Huskey Matheny. Mary was a faithful, lifelong member of the Cliffside United Methodist Church where she formerly sang in the church choir.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Donald D. "Lefty" Brooks of the home, and her daughter, Kim Brooks Harris and husband Keith of Cliffside.

The funeral service was held at the Cliffside United Methodist Church with the Reverend Robert Hodgens officiating. Interment followed in the Cliffside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cliffside United Methodist Church, 1137 McCombs Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114.
