Mary Ellen Ferguson Bennett, 89 of Bostic, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011. Services were held at Gantt’s Grove Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Bennett and her parents, Ewell and Carrie Hutchins Ferguson.
She is survived by six children, Joe and Geneva Bennett of Mooresoro; Jim and Gwen Bennett of Ellenboro; Jerry and LouAnn Bennett of Ellenboro; Johnny and Barbara Bennett of Rutherfordton; Jack and Cathy Bennett of Forest City and Jeff Bennett of Forest City; one daughter, Joan Bennett Hutchins and husband Fred of Bostic; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
