Mary Ethel Dyer McGuinn, 91

Mary Ethel Dyer McGuinn, 91, of Sunny View, NC passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012.

A lifelong resident of Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Floyd C. and Zadie Ingle Dyer and was the widow of Mack McGuinn Jr. who died in 1980. She was retired from Broyhill Furniture in 1986, and was a member of Big Level Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter Kathy Dawn McGuinn of Columbus, NC and a brother, Floyd “Bill” Dyer (Carolyn) of Mill Spring, NC as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Hilda Elaine McGuinn, three sisters: Elsie, Bessie, and Louise; two brothers: Lonnie Ezra and Waitsel Lee and a great nephew Matthew Dyer.

Funeral services were held at Big Level Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Elliot and Rev. Robert Orr officiating. Burial followed in the Big Level Baptist Church cemetery.
