Mary Hardin Cole of Forest City, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 2, 2015. 

A native of Rutherford County, Mary was a daughter of the late Robert Pressley Hardin and Vonnie Allen Hardin.  She was a faithful member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and retired after 35 years at Stonecutter Mills. 

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.  She was talented in ceramics and blessed her family and others with her beautiful creations.  She loved going with her family to eat at Cracker Barrel and greatly enjoyed her favorite shopping places, Belk's and Hamrick's.  Mary was greatly loved by her family and all who knew this sweet, wonderful lady. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Theron Cole, a daughter, Diane Cole Everette, seven brothers and two sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Steve Cole and wife Lynn, and Roger Cole all of Forest City, a brother, James B. Hardin and sister, Betty Lowery.  Her grandchildren, Jessi Rosenbaum and husband Steven, Nathan Everette, Natasha Hill and Husband Brad, Brandon Cole, Mary Beth Cole, Benjamin Cole and Catherine Cole, great-grandchildren, Talia Hill, Teagon Hill, Tinley Hill, Seth Cole, Joseph Rosenbaum, and Everette Rosenbaum.

Funeral services were held in The Padgett and King Chapel with Reverend Wade Huntley officiating. Interment followed in the Cool Springs Cemetery. 

The Padgett and King Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
