Mary Hazel Dodd, age 86

Mary Hazel Dodd, age 86, of Union Mills, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

Mary was born June 16, 1934 in Rutherford County to the late J.W. Jaynes and Meldona Guffey Jaynes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Kenneth, Jerry, David, Howard, Larry and Charles Jaynes and two sisters, Virginia Metcalf and Vickie Cox.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Carol Herring of Union Mills and two sons, Richard Duncan (Gloria) of Bill's Creek and Charles "Bud" Duncan (Glenda) of Union Mills; five siblings, Ruby Winstead, Roy Jaynes, Bill Jaynes, Beverly Walker and Teresa Jaynes. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service was conducted at the Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
