Mary Helen Fowler Greene, age 72

Mary Helen Fowler Greene, age 72, Ellenboro, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019.

Mary was born July 2, 1947 in Rutherford County to the late Hollis Fowler and Lora Blackwell Fowler. Mary worked at Specialty Lighting in Shelby until retirement at the age 62.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jimmy Fowler, Larry Fowler, Charles Fowler, Danny Fowler and a sister, Barbara Skipper.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of fifty-seven years, William "Preston" Greene; two sons, William "Bill" Greene, Jr. (Sherry) and Alan Greene (Linda); two daughters, Shannon Greene (Danielle) and Crystal Greene; three sisters, Betty Graham, Margie Ruff and Linda Anders (Clayton). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service was conducted at Concord Baptist Church.

Memorial donations are requested to William P. Greene, 303 Leon Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040 to help defray funeral costs.
