Mary Helene Melton Haynes, 86

Mary Helene Melton Haynes, 86, of Spindale, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012. 

A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of Horace Carroll and Mary Helen Davis Wright. Mary was a retired textile employee and of the Methodist faith.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Keith Melton of Spindale and Kim Melton and wife Lynette of Union Mills; grandson Garth Melton Jr. and wife Laura of Shelby; sister in law, Ruth Wright of Spindale; two nieces Lynn Kernodle and Jill Schwacke; and great nephew John Kernodle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Norris Kenneth Melton and Ernest Haynes and her brother, J.C. Wright.

Memorial services were held at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Don Ledbetter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC or Rutherford County Senior Center Meals on Wheels, 193 Callahan-Koon Road, Spindale, NC 28160.
