Mary J. Short, age 94

Mary J. Short, age 94, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020.

Mary was born July 7, 1925 in Rutherford County to the late Berkley Pryor and Virginia Huntley Pryor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Glenn Frank Short, Sr., son, Clifford Wayne Short; three sisters and eight brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Glenn F. Short, Jr. (Ramona Howell) of Lake Lure and Steven K. Short (Gwen) of Hampton, Virginia; two brothers, Floyd Pryor (Norma) of Dana, NC and Harris Pryor (Nancy) of Maggie Valley, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. A committal service was conducted at the Bear Wallow Baptist Church Cemetery in Gerton, NC.
