Mary Jo Swafford, age 76

Mary Jo Swafford, age 76, of Rutherfordton passed away Tuesday November 27, 2018.

Mary Jo was a native of Macon County, a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Franklin, NC, attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Tanner`s.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Raleigh Swafford, sons Billy and Raleigh Swafford and parents Leonard and Tiny Gibson Greene.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Gilda (Tim) Hamrick, sisters Shirley Charles and Alberta Bowes; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory is serving the family.
