Mary Lou Hodge, age 94

Mary Lou Hodge, age 94, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019.

She was the daughter of the late Paul Brown and the late Ruth Delashmitt Brown and a native of Cleveland Tennessee. She was the widow of the late Deuron R. Hodge and preceded in death by one son Dudley Hodge. Mary owned and operated the Spindale Sewing Machine Company. She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by One Daughter: Deurlene H. Toney and her husband Jerry of Bostic. One Son: Rodney Ralph Hodge of Hayesville, NC and two grandchildren.

Services were held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Community Pet Center; 861 Piney Ridge Rd., Forest City, NC 28043 or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services is serving the family.
