Mary Owings Shearon, 79

Mary Owings Shearon, 79, of Bostic, passed away June 17, 2014. 

Mary was a native of Cabarrus County, NC and was the daughter of the late John Alexander & Elise Nix Owings. She was a retired accountant and regularly attended First Presbyterian Church of Forest City. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Elliott (Skipper) Shearon.

Left to cherish her memories are her children Alex & Ellen Thomas of Gastonia, Bob & Jean Shearon of Eagle-Vail, Colorado, Debra & Dave Kuykendall of Fletcher, Margaret (Peggy) & Wolfgang Friedrich of Raleigh, Charlene & Mike McCraw of Boiling Springs; 10 grandchildren; brother-in-law Sam Lawrence of Martinsville, VA, & 3 nieces.

Memorial services were held at First Presbyterian Church, Forest City with Rev. Becky Stanley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
