Mattie Mae Jackson Dalton, age 95

Mattie Mae Jackson Dalton, age 95, of Forest City, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016.

Born on December 11, 1921 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Fletcher Andrew Jackson and Gussie Solon Bridges Jackson. She worked for Reeves Brothers Mill in Chesnee for 20 years. Mattie lived in California for 28 years with her late daughter and grandchildren before returning to NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pat Ferguson of California; one brother, Broadus Jackson of Greenwood, SC and one grandson, also of California.

Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette Taylor of Spindale and Betty Padgett of Forest City; one brother, Boyce Jackson of Rutherfordton; seven grandchildren, fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. Interment followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
