Maurice Randall "Randy" Owens, 58

Maurice Randall "Randy" Owens, 58 of Spindale, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017.

Randy was born in Rutherford County on March 24, 1959 to the late Jimmy Owens and Annette Owens Shehan. He graduated from RS Central High School and served in the US Navy. Randy worked in textiles and enjoyed spending all his free time with family and friends.

Left to cherish his love and memory are his mother, Annette and two wonderful children, daughter, Tanya Henderson and her husband Brian; and son, Caleb Owens and their mother Barbara Duncan. He has two precious grandsons. Siblings include two sisters, Pat Dalton and her husband Scott of Rutherfordton; and Ann Walker and her husband Marshal of Forest City. Three Brothers, Mike Owens and his wife Rhonda of Forest City; Gene Owens of Rutherfordton; and Dean Shehan and his wife Sylvia of Ellenboro. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Randy is preceded in death by his fathers Jimmy Owens and Don Shehan and an infant son Kenneth Lee Owens.

A private family memorial service was held at Crowe's Mortuary in Rutherfordton. Pastor Jeff Queen from First Baptist Church of Spindale officiated.
