Maxine Hudlow Jolley, age 75

Maxine Hudlow Jolley, age 75, of Rutherfordton, passed away on Saturday April 4, 2015 with her husband and daughter by her side. 

Maxine had fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a native of Rutherford County and a graduate of Gardner Webb University, was a retired lab tech in the textile industry and was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Lillie Mae Smith Hudlow, sisters Lorene Lovelace, Arzie Cook, Lucy Hudlow, Elanor Hudlow and brother Roy Hoyle Hudlow.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 57 years, Don Jolley; daughter Tamara Oxendine of Lake Lure, son Donnie Jolley of the home; grandchildren, Ariel Oxendine of Lake Lure, Josh Oxendine of Austin, Tx and Melody Oxendine of Lake Lure; a sister Brenda Dalton and husband Troy of Forest City; two brothers, Hayden Hudlow and wife Ethel of Forest City and Andy Hudlow of Orangeburg, SC along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held at Smith Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry White officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.

Crowe’s Mortuary is serving the family.
