Maynard Jennings "Short" Allison, 87

Maynard Jennings "Short" Allison, 87, of Gaffney, passed away on Monday, May 04, 2015.

A native of Cherokee County, SC, he was born on December 27, 1927, a son of the late Dek Allison and Evie Potter Allison. He retired from Cherokee Finishing Company and was a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Allison and Dewey Allison; his sisters, Yvonne Ivey, Madge Randolph, Lillie Mae Jackson and Virginia Huskey. He is survived by his wife, Edna Mintz Allison; one brother, Dean Allison of Mooresboro; one sister, Helen Littlejohn of Gaffney.

Funeral services were held at Camps Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
