The Forest City Owls Baseball Club announced today the addition of fans to McNair Field. On Monday night the Forest City Town Council passed the vote for the addition of three 24’ fans to be installed at McNair Field this spring.

The Town of Forest City and Forest City Owls have partnered together on this project and will have the fans installed before the South Atlantic Conference Tournament in early April.

With one fan in each grandstand, these new fans will produce enough air flow to circulate through the entire grandstand area.

“This is huge victory for Owls nation,” says General Manager Jeremy Boler. “These fans are a huge improvement to our Season Ticket Holders and all of our fans who sit in the grandstand area. The amount of air these fans will produce and push around is unmatched by any other ballpark in the region. We are so excited to provide something unique that makes the whole fan experience more enjoyable.  I would also like to thank the Town of Forest City and Kim Warner for all the support through this process and helping us make this idea become a reality.” says Boler

Forest City Park & Recreation Director, Jody Wright says, “On behalf of the Town of Forest City, these fans will be a great addition to our facility.  These fans are perfect for McNair Field, not only for the comfort, but because of the sheer volume of air they will move. The addition of these fans will put McNair Field in a new class of ballparks.”
