Melba Ann Hoyle Powell, age 70

Melba Ann Hoyle Powell, age 70 of Forest City passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016.

She was a native of Rutherford County and a daughter of the late Worth Wilburn and Jennie Meldonia Waters Hoyle. Melba was a member of Missionary Wesleyan Church and retired from Parker Hanifin Corporation. In addition to her parents, a brother, Bruce Hoyle preceded her in death in 1985.

Survivors include companion, Steven Frazier of Forest City, two sons, Jeff Powell and wife Karen of Forest City, Jason Powell and wife Pam of Conover, a brother, Joel Hoyle and wife Kathy of Forest City as well as six grandchildren.

The funeral service was held in The Padgett and King Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment followed in the Alexander Cemetery.
