Michael Ricky Cannon "Rick" age 69

Michael Ricky Cannon "Rick" age 69 went home to be with The Lord on January 1, 2016.

A native of Rutherford County, Rick was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce, a brick layer and master craftsman in the masonry trade. He was a son of the late Ralph Clyde Cannon and Ethleen Upton Cannon.

He is survived by his daughter Shellene Cannon of Asheville, NC; five grandchildren; aunts and uncles- Marie Cannon Phillips, Garland and Helen Cannon Byers, and Rosie Cannon White all of Forest City, NC; Martha Upton Moore of Bostic, NC and Patsy Upton Ledbetter of Chesnee, SC. He is also survived by a number of cousins and friends. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Mildred Freeman and Frances Logan for their friendship and the loving care shown to Rick over the years.

A celebration of Rick's life was held by his aunts and uncles on at Crowe's Funeral Chapel with Military Honors provided by The Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard. Any additional services will be announced by his daughter at a later date.
