Michael Terry, age 74 of Union Mills passed away June 7, 2018.

A native of Rutherford County he is a son of the late Flay Terry and Reba Willis Terry and was a former employee of J & C Dyeing in Shelby, NC. Michael loved antique machinery and especially enjoyed "hit and miss" engines.

He is survived by his companion Jackie Kiser Smith of the home, one daughter Dena Yarbro and her husband Fred of Kings Mountain,; one son Jeff Terry and his wife Nancy of Shelby; four grandchildren; two brothers, three sisters and a number of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters.

A gathering of friends and family was held at Crowe's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336 Forest City NC 28043.

Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the family.
