Mike Kiser, age 65

Mike Kiser, age 65, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014.

Born March 23, 1949 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Paul Reid Kiser & Mamie Pearl Hutchins Kiser.  Mike was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1968 & also a graduate of Fruitland Bible College. He worked for E.S Walker Construction & McGinnis Roofing for many years & was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Mike life’s passion was coaching several area youth sports teams which included Little & Senior League baseball, basketball, football & softball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing & walking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a sister-in-law, Deborah Kiser.

Survivors include 4 sisters, Sheila Huckabee & husband, Pletz Johnston, Christine Kiser, Angelia Hernandez & husband, Raul & Kay Miller & husband, Desmond all of Forest City & a brother, Clarence Kiser also of Forest City. He is survived by 9 nieces & nephews.

A memorial service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating.
