Mildred Beckett Nicholas, age 72

Mildred Beckett Nicholas, age 72, of Cliffside, NC, passed away, Saturday, December 19, 2015.

A native of Tuscarawas, OH, she was a daughter of the late Robert James Beckett and Ruby Leaona McNut Beckett, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed sewing for her family by making blankets out of their old clothing. Mildred will be remembered as the collector of family photographs.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Donald "Don" Nicholas, of the home, two sons, Robert "Bob" Nicholas and his partner Greg of Charlotte, Donald "Donnie" Nicholas and his wife Marcie of Clearwater, FL, a daughter, Rhonda Cochran and her husband Ben of Grover, NC, a brother, Carl Beckett of Wilmington, NC, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at The Padgett and King Chapel with her son, Bob Nicholas officiating.

The Padgett and King Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
