Mildred Horn Ledbetter, age 74, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013.

     Mildred was born January 20, 1939 to the late Eugene Horn and Risbeth Haynes Horn. She was a graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1957 and attended Howard Business College.  She worked for Peeler’s Rug Mill for several years and was a member of Lavonia Baptist Church and attended Camp’s Creek Baptist Church.  Mildred enjoyed flower gardening, and had passion for the beach and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Sisk.

Survivors include one son, Jody Ledbetter and Lesley Hollifield of Mooresboro; three daughters, Beverly Blanton and husband, Jimmy of Mooresboro, Sandy Brewer and husband, Charles of Mooresboro and Melissa Hamrick of Shelby; six grandchildren, Erin Blanton, Jenna Blanton, Cameron Hamrick, Riley Ledbetter, Manda Hollifield, Monica Hollifield and one great-grandchild Jordyn Bell.

     No formal services are planned.
