Miriam Louise Jones Walker, age 85

Miriam Louise Jones Walker, age 85, of Forest City, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012.

Louise was born March 26, 1927 in Rutherford County, NC to the late James Columbus Jones and Myrtle Katie Queen Jones.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, gardening and cooking. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mable Irene Mayn, Joyce Jones Norville and son in-law, Joseph Lloyd Cunningham.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 64 years, Charles H. Walker; one daughter, Linda Cunningham; two grandsons, Charles Wayne Cunningham and wife, Melanie, Kyle Cunningham and one great-grandson, Hayden Cunningham all of Forest City.  She is also survived by one sister, Jean Smith and husband, Clyde; one brother, Bill Q. Jones and wife, Sue all of Forest City; four sister in-laws and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating.  Entombment followed at Cleveland Memorial Park.
