Miss Marilyn Elaine Parker, 56, of 4297 Cove Road, Union Mills, NC went to be with her Heavenly Father Sunday, October 24, 2010. Services were held at Nealsville Church of God in McDowell County. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Miss Parker was preceded in death by a nephew, Tyler Parker Pressley.
She is survived by her parents, Carl Grogan Parker and Emma Inez Arrowood Parker of the home; 1 brother, Gary Parker and wife Teresa of Union Mills; 1 sister, Gail Pressley and husband Jeff of Rutherfordton; 3 nieces; nephew; and a number of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Rutherford County Relay For Life.
