Morgan Cierra Bristol, age 17

Morgan Cierra Bristol, age 17, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014.

Born June 26, 1997 in Buncombe County, Morgan was an enthusiastic & loving young lady & whose energy transferred to the lives of all who knew her. She was a member of the Senior Class of 2015 at Chase High School & a cheerleader since 6th grade. She was a member of the Chase FFA chapter & a member of Chase Baptist Church and active in the “God Squad” youth group. 

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Oren “Spanky” Dean Ledbetter, Jr.; 2 great grandpas, Ralph Melton & Harry E. Hawkins & great uncle, James Ray Hawkins.

Survivors include her parents, Josh & Christy Ledbetter of Forest City & Tydyarl Bristol & fiancé, Stacie Melton of Henrietta; 2 sisters, Adelyn Faith Ledbetter  & Kimsey Bristol; brother, Kenndrick Bristol; grandparents, Chris & Cindy Melton of Ellenboro, Steve & Marilyn Morris of Rutherfordton, Toni Horton of Shiloh, Jimmy & Doris Bristol of Henrietta; great grandmothers, Mary Elizabeth Hawkins of Forest City & Betty Melton of Ellenboro; 6 aunts, Kim Robbins & husband Joe of Charlotte, Chasity Morris of Harris, Brittany Morris of Forest City, Dorothy Bristol of Rutherfordton, Latichea McSwain of Spartanburg & Techea Bristol of Henrietta; godmother, Laura Hales of Ellenboro; 2 uncles, Jeremy Horton of Shiloh & Jimmy Bristol, Jr. of Henrietta. She is also survived by a host of cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at Crestview Baptist Church with Reverend Scott Butler officiating.  Interment followed in Rutherford Co. Memorial Cemetery.
