Mozelle Melton Honeycutt, age 93

Mozelle Melton Honeycutt, age 93, of Sunset Beach, NC and formally of Rutherford County joined her Heavenly Father on February 27, 2017.

Born on March 22, 1923 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Wilbur Melton and Vinnie Cobb Melton. Mozelle was a lifetime member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church and a longtime resident of Rutherford County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Honeycutt in 1995. Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Rebecca Kay Mealey of Clarkston, Georgia and Linda Williams and husband, Bob of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. She is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life was held at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Carnell and Reverend Shane Kirby officiating. A private burial was held after the service. Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
