Mr. Floyd L. Radford age 90

Mr. Floyd L. Radford age 90 of Forest City passed away Friday November 11, 2016.

A native of Rutherford County, Floyd was a member of Caroleen Baptist Church and worked in textiles prior to retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War Two in the Rhineland and Central Europe. Upon the end of the war he was attached to the 1st Division where he served as a courtroom guard during the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials.

He is survived by one son Michael Radford and wife Pamela of Cartersville, GA; one granddaughter Chloe Radford of Macon, GA and a number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Eugenia Sparks Radford and his parents Pink and Lexie Burgess Radford.

Funeral services were held at Caroleen Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Cooper and Rev. Allen Hall officiating.
