Mr. Gay Blankenship, 72, of Henrietta, NC, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010. A Memorial Service was held at the Church of the Brethren of Spindale.
Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by his parents, Dug Blankenship and Myrtle Wallace Blankenship; 2 sisters, Chloe Holcombe and Geraldine Blankenship; and 1 brother, Ray Blankenship.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joann Jones Blankenship; 4 daughters, Angela Cash and husband Ernest of Henrietta, Lisa Oliver and husband Tony of Union Mills, Tracy Roper and husband Terry of Gilkey, and Kathy Leach and fiancé Warren Faucett of Traveler’s Rest, SC; 2 sisters, Helen Austin of Burnsville, NC and Irene Austin of Morganton, NC; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Harrelson Funeral Home, Caroleen, NC is serving the family.
