Mr. J.R. Reeves, 83, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away Friday, October 29, 2010. Services were held at Crowe’s Mortuary Chapel. Burial followed in West Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Lovelace served our country in the U.S. Army, serving during WWII and received the World War Two Victory Medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson and Myrtle Duckett Reeves; 2 brothers, Dewey Reeves and Fred Reeves; 3 sisters, Sue Reeves, Ruth Hipps, and Maude Teague.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eva G. Reeves of the home; 1 daughter, Lynn McDowell and husband Rick; and 2 grandchildren, all of Rutherfordton, NC; 1 brother, Don Reeves of Leicester, NC; 5 nieces; and 7 nephews.
