Mr. Orus Reid Coffield, Jr., 93, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011. A memorial service will be held at Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Mr. Coffield was preceded in death by his parents, O.R. and Ada May Martin Coffield and two brothers, Robert and Carson Coffield, both of Florida and a half sister, Mildred Coffield Blanton of Forest City.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ann Stewart Coffield of the home; daughter, Harriett Stewart, with whom he had made his home for the last five years; two sons, Orus Reid Coffield III of Columbia, Missouri and William (Bill) Coffield of Boiling Springs, SC; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
