Mr. Raymond Kenneth O’Dell, Jr., 61, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011. A Celebration of Life was held at the O’Dell home. Burial followed in the Western North Carolina Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain, NC.
Mr. O’Dell served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Kenneth O’Dell, Sr. and Frances Margaret Cherry O’Dell.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie Palmer O’Dell; 3 daughters, Colleen Couch, Franie Padgett and Dixie O’Dell; 1 son, Raymond O’Dell; 1 brother, Arthur O’Dell; 1 sister, Judy Gordon; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a number of other family members.
Crowe’s Mortuary, Rutherfordton, NC is serving the family.
