Mrs. Agnes “Aggie” Halfyard Hawkins, 70 of 150 Powell Road, Caroleen, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 17, 2010. Services were held at Caroleen Baptist Church. Burial followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Stephen Halfyard and Caroline Thomas Halfyard; 4 sisters, Laura Dawe, Annetta Halfyard, Emma Halfyard, and Mary Halfyard; and 1 brother, Heber Halfyard.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jimmy Hawkins; 2 sons, Nigel Hawkins and wife Melissa, and Lonnie and wife Dena, all of Caroleen, NC; 3 grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Madelyn Hawkins of Forest City, NC; 3 sisters, Mildred Caines of Ontario, Canada, and Nina Gallent and Julia Moore, both of Stephenville; 3 brothers, John Halfyard of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Doug Halfyard of Birchy Head, Newfoundland, and Barrett Halfyard of Ontario.
