Mrs. Augusta Hyde of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Services were held at St. Francis Episcopal Church. Internment followed in the Memorial Garden at St. Francis.
Mrs. Hyde was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Austin T. Hyde, Jr. and herparents, John A. and Cathe Wallendahl Mowincklel.
She is survived by two sons, Nat Hyde and his wife Renee; one daughter, Elizabeth of Huntersville; Russell Hyde, wife Sarah and son Taber, of Rutherfordton; two close nephews: John Mowinckel of London, England; Allen Hyde of Jonas Ridge, NC; a cousin, Rasmus Wallendahl of Oslo, Norway and two sisters-in-law, Ruthde Hyde or Rochester, NY and Letizia Mowinckel of Rome, Italy.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, The American Red Cross, St. Francis Episcopal Church or the Isothermal Community College Foundation.
Crowe’s Mortuary of Rutherfordton, NC is serving the family.
