Mrs. Barbara Faye Surratt Camp, 70, of 1514 Old Caroleen Road, Forest City, NC, answered the Masters call Friday, August 6, 2010. Services were held at Piney Grove Missionary Church, Cowpens, SC. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Camp was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. L.C. and Mary Alice Surratt.
She is survived by her husband, L.C. Camp, Sr.; 4 daughters, Rev. Barbara J. Curtis of Chesnee, Mary A. Gregory and husband James of Gaffney, SC, Mary V. Rivera and husband Rosely of Columbia, SC, and Hope L. Sceezy and husband Sherwin of Spindale; 3 sons, Charles E. Surratt and Thomas C. Camp, both of Forest City, and Lester C. Camp, Jr. and wife Linda of Henrietta; 2 brothers, Sylvester Surratt and wife Mae of Chesnee, and Ramsey Surratt of Sandy Mush; 8 sisters, Annie Craford and Debra McEntire, both of Sandy Mush, Emma Eatmen and Joyce Davis, both of Maryland, Ora Burris of Gaffney, SC, Avery Haywood of Forest City, Jessie Mae Camp of Trenton, NJ, and Jeannie Moore of Shelby; 32 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
