Mrs. Bernice Debnam Flack, age 84

Mrs. Bernice Debnam Flack, age 84 of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013. 

A native of Youngsville, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Otis Debnam and Cherrie Lannie Smith Debnam.  At an early age she joined New Liberty Baptist Church.  Bernice worked as a domestic home keeper.

1n 1946, she was married to the late Luther Flack. Bernice is survived by her son, Swanee Flack and his wife Lynn of Hanover, MD; sisters Lucille Black of Garner, NC, and Gladys M. Perry of Raleigh, NC; brother Dr. George Debnam of Raleigh, NC; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at Crowe’s Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Conley officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
