Mrs. Brenda Dodson Hodge, 62

Mrs. Brenda Dodson Hodge, 62, of Union Mills, formerly of Ellenboro, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016.

She was the daughter of the late J.C. and Lorene Padgett Dodson, and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. David A. Jones. She served for 23 years as an RN with Hospice of Rutherford County, was an alumnus of Gardner-Webb and a member of Second Baptist Church of Rutherfordton.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Hodge; two daughters, Bridgett Jones Ashworth and husband David, of Boiling Springs, NC, and Alisha Jones Lynn and husband Jeff, of Kings Mountain; two stepdaughters, Sandi McCraw and husband Scott, and Miranda Ferguson and husband J.W., all of Union Mills; her sister, Sandra Greene and husband Steve, of Ellenboro; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and her aunt, Irene Henson of Mooresboro; a nephew, Christopher Greene; and her niece, Allyson Greene.

A Memorial Service was conducted at Walls Baptist Church. Dr. Robert Toney, Rev. Owen Duncan and Dr. Keith Stephenson officiated. Urn burial followed in the church cemetery.
