Mrs. Dorothy “Betty” Rinehart, age 89

Mrs. Dorothy “Betty” Rinehart, age 89, a resident of Carolina House Forest City formerly of Spindale, NC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 7, 2014. 

A native of Washington County, TN she was a retired school teacher and a faithful member of Spindale Church of The Brethren.

Left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Dottie Randolph and her husband Tarrance of Green Creek, NC; three sons, Chuck Rinehart and his wife Alisa of Shelby, NC; Richard Rinehart of Knoxville, TN and David Rinehart and his wife Chris of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Charlotte McKay of Bridgewater, VA and Margaret King of Kansas City, MO; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one daughter in law Brenda Rinehart and a number of other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Charles Rinehart, her son Rev. Joe Rinehart and her parents William and Laura Gwin Swadley.

A celebration of her life was held at Spindale Church of the Brethren with her son Chuck Rinehart officiating. Interment services were held at Eternal Hills Cemetery formerly Sunset Memorial Park immediately following the funeral.
