Mrs. Georgia Kathleen Jones Pittman, 92

Mrs. Georgia Kathleen Jones Pittman, 92, of Bostic, passed away January 8, 2018.

She was born November 10, 1925, a daughter of the late Sally and Charley Jones. She was the widow of Ray Pittman, Sr, who passed in 1998, and was also preceded in death by her sisters, Erma Lee Melton and Louise Martin; her brothers, Russell Jones and Joe Jones; and a son-in-law Joey Hanson. Kathleen loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren - they were her greatest joy in life and loved spending time with them and they all loved her deeply.

She is survived by her son, Ray Pittman, Jr. and wife Freida, of Bostic; her daughters, Carolyn Hanson of Spindale, and Pat Penson and husband Steve, of Forest City; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service was conducted at First Baptist Church Bostic Cemetery. Rev. Randy Church officiated. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
