Mrs. Lucy Jane Whitesides McDaniel age 85

Mrs. Lucy Jane Whitesides McDaniel age 85 of Lake Lure, NC passed away Tuesday October 29, 2013. 

A native of Rutherford County she was the daughter of Edgar and Ocie Frady Whitesides, a member of Bills Creek Baptist Church and the widow of Donald Gordon McDaniel, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Betty Keller of Morganton and Nancy Baker of Asheville, she is also survived by four grandchildren Pam Arrowood, Chris Arrowood, Jerry Baker and Lynn Downing and five great grandchildren Michael Lail, Patience Arrowood, Christopher Arrowood, Adam Lawing and Megan Lawing;  one sister Margaret Vess of Asheville, NC. 

In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by her brother Weldon Whitesides.

A celebration of her life was held at Bills Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Terrell Dillingham and Rev. Claude McIntosh officiating. Concluding services were held in the church cemetery following the funeral.
