Mrs. Margie Virnell Bailey, age 96

Mrs. Margie Virnell Bailey, age 96, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019.

Virnell was born December 5, 1922 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Herbert C. and Ollie Bertha Robertson Culbreth. She worked for the Rutherford County School System in the cafeteria at Oakland Elementary School and was a member of Adaville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Bailey a son, Donald Nelson Bailey and her nephew, Jeffrey Culbreth.

Survivors include her son, Tim Bailey and wife Peggy, daughters, Diann Bailey and Regina Seelbach both of Durham, a niece Becky Boone, and nephew Phillip Culbreth. There are also six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a number of great-great-grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held in The Padgett and King Chapel. Interment will be private for the family in the Adaville Baptist Church Cemetery.
