Mrs. Mary Edna Hamrick McCraw, 84, of Mooresboro, passed away on Tuesday, April 02, 2014.

A native of Rutherford County, she was born on May 31, 1929, a daughter of the late Raleigh B. And Ethel Robinson Hamrick. She retired from Cleveland Sandwich Shop in Boiling Springs, where she had worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for over 25 years. She was a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church where she had served in various capacities. Her love of family gatherings, her stories and traditions, and the amazing love she shared with her husband, Bill Joe, will be remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Billy Joe McCraw.

She is survived by her children, Steve and Geneva McCraw of Spartanburg, SC, Phillip (Mully) and Ronda McCraw of Mooresboro, Mike and Charlene McCraw of Boiling Springs, and Kathy and Paul Petrov of Shelby; her grandchildren, Melissa McCurry, Joe and Jodi McCraw, Eryn McCraw, Cassie and Terry Dills, Nathan and Jill McCraw, Meggie McCraw, Kate and Nicholas Blohm, Sarah Grace McCraw, Zachary McCraw, Billy Billings, Jr., Jeff Billings, and Ray Billings; her great grandchildren, Cassidy, Samantha, Brooke, Andrew, James and Caleb Billings.

The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Hospice of Wendover. We will never forget the loving care they gave to Mother and the concern they had for our family.

A Celebration of Mrs. McCraw’s Life was held at Camps Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Buckner, Rev. Steve Durham, Rev. Buddy Morehead and family and friends officiating. A graveside service was held at Cleveland Memorial Park.
