Mrs. Mary Jolley Henson, 73

Mrs. Mary Jolley Henson, 73, passed away July 4, 2016 at her residence.

Born July 27, 1942 in Cherokee County, SC, the wife of 40 years to Alton Henson and the daughter of the late Floyd Jolley and the late Alta Price Jolley. She was a member of State Line Baptist Church, a graduate of Chesnee High School and worked at Cone Mills for over 16 years. She was a creative thinker, loved to sew and was a friendly quiet person.

Survivors include her husband; a sister, Barbara Blanton (Kenneth) of Chesnee; a brother, Caroll Jolley (Margaret) of Chesnee; two nieces, Kenda Lookadoo and Phyllis Spence and a special nephew, Gary Guffey.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service was held at Goodes Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Hayes officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
