Mrs. Vernie Owens Curtis, 96 of Ellenboro, NC passed away on Friday, March 11, 2011. Services were held at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial was held in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Curtis was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Curtis; her parents, Aca Andrew and Josie Edna Guffey Curtis; two brothers, David Curtis and Roscoe Curtis and one sister, Virgie Bridges.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Ester Curtis of Camden, Delaware; two grandchildren, David Curtis and Melissa House and one sister, Edith Owens.
