Ms. Shirley Jean Jones Gross, 81

Ms. Shirley Jean Jones Gross, 81, of Forest City, NC passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Services were held at Crowe’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rutherfordton, NC. Burial followed in Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Gross was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gross; her parents, Jake and Mollie Hixon Jones; and a daughter, Louise Parks Price.

She is survived by 2 sons, Eddie Yelton of Rutherfordton and Donnie Yelton of Forest City; 2 daughters, Lucille Mauck and Linda Guffey, both of Forest City, NC; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
