Local Christian artist David Coffin will perform at Chuck's Family Pizza Monday, Nov. 29, at 5:30 p.m.

Coffin, who is volunteer worship pastor at The Bridge Church of the Carolinas in Chesnee, S.C., has been singing since childhood. He was a member of school choruses in elementary and high school, and youth choirs at church.

He briefly took a sabbatical from music, but returned to it three years ago after receiving a message online from a woman in Sanford who was starting a recording studio for Christian artists.

"Little did I know that I was beginning a three year adventure to complete this CD project," Coffin said.

That CD, "Back to Life," is symbolic, Coffin said. It serves as an announcement that he has returned to music as well as that no matter what life throws at you there is a God who loves you. The album, he continued, is a blend of contemporary worship with modern country.

"There are lots of guitar leads in similar style to Keith Urban or Brad Paisley, along with keys, acoustic guitar and steel guitar."

There is no charge to attend the performance, other than the price of the buffet. copies of the CD will be available at the performance, or can be purchased in advance online. For more information, visit davidcoffinonline.com.
