Myrtle Culbreth Bennett, age 105

Myrtle Culbreth Bennett, age 105, of Rutherfordton, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph William Culbreth and the late Della Jane Owens Culbreth and a native of Rutherford County. Myrtle was a member of Kistler's Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Myrtle loved going to the Rutherford County Senior Center. She loved all children, her family and her neighbors dearly. She was preceded in death by three brothers; Broadus, Howard and Hoyle Culbreth and one sister Ellie Hines.

She is survived by one brother: Frank Culbreth of Charlotte. Four nieces and four nephews.

The funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Julie O'Neal officiated. Interment followed at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Forest City. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oakland Living Center; 704 Poors Ford Road; Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
