Nancy Conner Hancock, age 74, of Gilkey, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late Avery Laxton Conner and the late Margaret Frady Conner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Jack L. Conner.
Nancy loved to paint and taught painting classes. She also loved going to the beach.
She is survived by her husband: Walter Eugene Hancock Sr. One Daughter: Catina Carol Melton and her husband Mitch of Bostic. Two Sons: Avery Stewart Hancock of Gilkey, Walter Eugene Hancock Jr. and his wife Janet Rosey of Gilkey. One Brother: George Lorenzo Conner and his wife Marilyn of Gilkey. Two Sisters: Joyce Conner Ward and her husband Lewis of Rutherfordton, Linda Conner Waters and her husband Don of Sherrills Ford, NC. Three Grandchildren.
The funeral service was held at Gilkey United Methodist Church. Rev Jack Bridges and Rev Charles McClure officiated.
Interment was held at Gilkey United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Hospice of Carolina Foothills PO Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
