Nelle Holloway Parton age 100, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015.

Nell was the daughter of the late Benjamin Paul and Sara Blanche Ross Holloway.

Predeceased by husbands Rev. Glenn R. Parton and Verno W. Parton; brothers Ross (Ina), Bonnie (Audrey), Billie and Bobby Holloway; sisters Eunice (John) Craven, Pauline (Roy) Lewis, Mavis (Ebb) Flanigan, Virginia (Son) Silvey, Lois (Robert) Bohler, Joyce (Johnny )Parton; brothers-in-law Marvin Banks, Ralph Snider; step-children Juanita Rigdon, Geraldine (Joe) Lammonds, Hazel Parton, Rudolph Parton; step-son-in-law Buster Earley.

Survived by children Glenda (Jimmy) Greene, Edward (Becky) Parton, Sandra (Wayne) Cazier; step-children Nell Earley, Wanda (Alfred) Mayo, Carl (Cassandra) Parton, Reuben (Cam) Parton; step-son-in-law Charlie Rigdon, step-daughter-in-law Sandra Parton; grandchildren Ginnie (Nick) Stewman, Dr. Rob (Shannon) Blanton, William A. (Evden) Blanton, Mark (Tanja) Parton, Jennifer York; step-grandchildren Hope (Scott) Binion, Angela (Michael) Hinnenkamp, David (Brook) Mayo, Steven (Rachel) Mayo, Patrick (Teri) Parton, Furman (Amy) Parton, Kevin Parton, Denise Crosby, Kent (Pam) Stephens, Janet Stephens, Alan (Cherie) Parton, Andy Parton, Phillip (Rebecca) Lammonds, Jane (Nettles) Lambert, John Lammonds, Karen (Andy) Vandiver, Catherine (Travis Turner, Kimberley (Kelvin) Johnson, Dr. Tanya (Jason) Watson, Shelli (Joey) Allen, Jennifer (Bart) Travis; sisters Betty (Gene) Stevens and Dot Snider and a sister-in-law Mary Holloway. Also surviving are 11 great-grandchildren, 33 step-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and 1 step-great-great grandchild.

Nelle was a woman of deep faith, grace, and courage. Funeral services were held at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church, with the Reverend Jack Crain officiating.

Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the family.
