Nellie Hicks, age 96, of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Bostic, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019.

Nellie was born November 28, 1922 in Rutherford County, to the late Lee Hunt and Finer McCurry Hunt. She was a homemaker who loved baking, cooking and tending to her family. Nellie's life was the epitome of a Godly woman who loved the Lord with all of her heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Hicks; son, Charles Hicks and a daughter, Carolyn Bedford and several brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Michael Hicks of Albuquerque, NM; three brothers, Larry Hunt, Jerry Hunt and Joe Hunt (Judy) all of Bostic and a son-in-law, Edward Bedford of Albuquerque. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at the Golden Valley United Methodist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
