Nellie Holland, age 86

Nellie Holland, age 86, of Forest City, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

Nellie was born February 2, 1926 in Cleveland County, NC to the late John Chalmer Holland and Elizabeth Ardella McKinney Holland.  She worked in textiles for over 20 years and also for Broyhill Furniture for over 20 years before her retirement.  She enjoyed traveling, cooking and loved being with her family.  She was a longtime member of Sandy Mush Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, J.D. Holland, Paul Holland, Palmer Holland and Earl Duke Holland; two sisters, Maude Toney and Blanche Stout.

Survivors include one brother, Baxter C. Holland and wife, Betty of Holiday, Florida and a number of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were conducted at the Providence United Methodist Church with Reverend David Bradley officiating.
